Nursery started the week with some fantastic sea-themed learning. We read our key text: ‘Sharing a shell’ by Julia Donaldson. We talked about rock pools and made some wonderful sea creatures and their shells. In maths we practised using positional language and described where things are – using ourselves and the characters from the story.
Our excitement grew as we started to prepare for our celebration of the King’s Coronation. We made special crown biscuits that we later decorated with jewels.
We designed and created our own crowns and even had a go at drawing the king.
We had lots of fun taking part in our sponsored bouncy castle jump, and enjoyed dressing in our special clothes for a wonderful Coronation picnic.
