On Friday we spent the day doing our ‘Caritas in Action’ work. The theme this time was ‘Solidarity and the common good’. In the morning we learnt about how special our friendships are, and how Jesus wants us to love each other. We made a special friendship book with all our pictures inside. We made friendship bracelets and decorated our name on strips of paper. We then linked them together to represent how we feel happy when we connect and come together as friends.
In the afternoon we looked at pictures of Jesus helping others and learnt that being a friend means helping others when they need it. We thought about all the people that might need our help and role played and drew how we can help them.
