This week in St-Josephs Nursery we have been really busy learning about the ‘old’ and the ‘new’. We began our ‘People of Prayer’ topic and learnt about the Epiphany and the importance of the Three Wise Men in the story of Jesus. We talked about how they were important for the gifts that they gave Jesus and made our own crowns for the people who give us things in our own lives. We introduced free access ICT equipment into the classroom and spent time exploring the basics of how equipment like Ipads, remote control cars and codapillars work and we all really enjoyed sharing our experiences, what we know and seeking challenge.
As it was Chinese New Year this week we found out how Chinese people celebrate and created our own Dragons. If this wasn’t enough we finished our exploration of The Gingerbread Man book by taking a poll of our favourite biscuits by making a pictogram.
