This week we enjoyed revisiting the pond to see how our tadpoles are getting on. We used nets and bowls to catch them and check how they are doing. We noticed that some of them were much bigger than others and that the bigger ones are much harder to catch. They still don’t have legs yet so we will go back soon when hopefully they will have become froglets.
This week we have been reading the story Noisy Farm by Rod Campbell so the children loved looking at pictures of animals and their babies and seeing if they could match them up. We found out that a baby goose is called a gosling and it looks very similar to a duckling! We also had some very muddy pigs to clean this week and used our fine motor skills to ensure that all the mud had gone but it just get coming back!
