There has been a lot of growing going on in Pearl Class! Our bean plants have simply shot up – just like those in our stories – and some are really tall now!
The children also discovered a very big vegetable – and it turned out to be a turnip from our story ‘The Enormous Turnip’. We enjoyed acting out the story on the small world table, and made some lovely turnips from playdough.
We counted turnips … and even threaded some turnips!
We have also been getting ready for Easter. We have begun to observe the signs of Spring and Easter inside – and of course in our wonderful outdoor spaces.
We celebrated St. Joseph’s day by raising money for our ‘change for change’ event on Tuesday, and on Wednesday we dressed in rainbow colours. If this wasn’t exciting enough, we were also surprised by a very special visitor – The Easter Bunny no less! Spring is definitely in the air at St. Josephs!
