Nursery started this half term with a brand-new theme. The biggest clue was the exciting discovery of some enormous footprints in our classrooms. We set about investigating them, and after some discussion we decided that they could belong to a dinosaur!
Our new theme is in fact ‘Megabeasts’, and we have already been sharing some ideas and knowledge about dinosaurs with our friends.
The children have also been sharing their experiences of autumnal celebrations and events. We have had lots of fun discussing firework displays, and we decided to capture our responses with a range of art activities, number rhymes and movement.
Our maths focus this week has been ‘repeating patterns’. The children did a wonderful job of continuing a 2-part repeating pattern using fireworks visuals, classroom resources and even large blocks outside.
