Red and Ruby class have done a fantastic job of settling in and we have now introduced our new topic to the children: ‘People who help us’. First we talked about the people who help us at home, and then went on to discuss people who help us at school. Some of us had a lot of names to remember!
To enhance their learning the children chose one of the EYFS staff members to paint. They chose, mixed and prepared the paints themselves and decided on their own ways of representing their features. The portraits were so wonderful we have made a lovely display for our coridor. Some of us even had a go at writing their names!
As well as our all the people who help as at school, we have also started to talk about people who can help us outside school. We are all super excited about our visit from The Fire Brigade next week!
