This week, Year 6 have focused on how to look after their mental health as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.
We kick started the week by participating in the Take 10 challenge, following an inspirational talk from Anthony Horowitz (one of our favourite authors!) and a discussion about the positive impact reading can play.
We have also spent much of our week outdoors (when it hasn’t been raining!), and acknowledging the role that nature can play in contributing towards positive mental health.
In addition, the children have relished their afternoons spent collaboratively building their Mission to Mars rovers – which have been carefully designed, constructed and decorated. The children even managed to incorporate their Science learning, by implementing working circuits with motors and light bulbs. We can’t wait to test them out next week.
