This week nursery have been making lots of marks. We looked at the different marks we could make and used our magic fingers to practise making these in the air using our gross motor movements. The children explored making marks and had lots of opportunities to do this in different ways using lots of different medias such as pens, pencils, chalk paint… They had tummy time where they could lay on their tummies and make marks on paper. They made marks in glue, glitter and porridge oats. They used different tools to make marks in the sand. Some children even began to use these marks to form letters! It was great to see the children so involved in mark making and so interesting to hear their creative ideas when they gave meaning to the marks they made. Well done Nursery!
