This week in Little Gems we have started our new theme for this term ‘Night and Day.’
We have been reading the story ‘Little Owl’s Night,’ and explored the different animals we see at night.
The children made their own pictures using midnight blue paper and silhouettes of nocturnal animals, trees and the moon.
Some of the children also explored the sleep room with the blinds down and discussed what they could see in the dark. Maia said “I sleep at night.’
Sapyhien said “I see stars”
We also had our first Stay and Play session which will be every Friday morning.
