This week in the Little Gems we have been celebrating our love of books with lots of reading. Popular titles include the Elmer series, Little red riding hood and the Gingerbread man. Children have enjoyed asking questions and talking about the stories together and it has led to lots of independent reading too. Our nursery rhyme this was was ‘5 little monkeys swinging in a tree’ so lots of chances to role-play animal characters and build our imaginative play skills.
We wish you all a fantastic half-term break full of fun, relaxation and learning. Our big new story after the holiday will be ‘The three little pigs’ so please feel free to read it together during the holidays.
