This week in Little Gems we have continued to explore colours. The children decorated their clay elephants just like Elmer.
We also read the story ‘A Perfect Fit’ about a triangle who feels sad about not fitting in when they meet different shapes. At the end of the story the triangle meets other triangles, they are happy for a little while but after remembering all the fun they had with the other shapes they had met throughout the story, realizes that it is ok to be different.
The Little Gems learnt that our differences make us special and together we fit perfectly within the class.
The children explored paint in shaving foam. They enjoyed watching the changes that happened when the paint and foam mixed together.
We celebrated World Book Day and the children and adults came to school dressed up as a word. The children all looked amazing in their outfits. Archie said “I’m Woody.”
Lastly we celebrated our fantastic mothers and special women in the children’s lives by having a lovely ‘Mother’s Day Breakfast’

“Love it. I get a chance to see my daughter in her learning environment and talk to all the other parents and teachers whilst playing. It also gives her an early understanding of special occasions and celebrations. Thank you.” Wrote someone else.
