This week in nursery we introduced our new book ‘The three little pigs’. We explored the different building materials used in the book and had some really interesting discussions about our own homes and what makes them unique. We also explored many other materials in our classroom talking about their properties and what makes a good building material. We made lots of interesting sounds while enjoying our song of the week ‘Old MacDonald’ and we used mirrors to explore how our mouths move to make different sounds.
As part of our ‘Where we live’ topic we kindly encourage you all to share any photos or drawings of your home especially your door and house number so we can share and discuss these in class.
Next week we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday so please come as a character from your favourite book. We also will be holding an extended ‘Stay and Play’ session on Friday until 9.30am which will be all about maths.
