In our school children learn how to code from the very early stage. They play with Beebots in Nursery and Reception and use block coding in Years 1 to 6. Additionally, we have introduced Python language to our year 6 students too. They can use different platforms to code: J2e, Scratch Junior, Scratch, Tynker, or Make a Code. We have Coding Club in our school and if you would like more – there is DOJO.
‘A Dojo is a free, volunteer-led, community-based computer club for young people. Anyone aged 7 to 17 can visit a Dojo and learn to code, build a website, or create an app or game. Dojos are a space for kids and teens to explore technology in an informal, creative, safe and social environment.’
