This week in Nursery we have enjoyed reading the story ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ by Julia Donaldson. The children had a go at making their own ladybirds using playdough. They enjoyed adding spots to their ladybirds and were able to carefully count out how many spots they wanted to use.
We are also becoming more familiar with the Easter Story. This week we learnt about how Good Friday is a bit of a sad day but a very important one to remember. We learnt that a cross reminds us just how much Jesus loves us. We made our own colourful crosses by laying tissue paper on a cross shape and then spraying it with water. We noticed that all the colours from the tissue paper went onto our cross and once dried revealed a beautiful colourful pattern.
