What an eventful week it has been in Year 3!
A huge Thank You to Elia’s mum for coming in to talk about all the wonderful work that she and her colleagues at Kafunjo do in Africa to help those less fortunate than ourselves. The children were extremely surprised to realise how little some of these children have, and how lucky they are. We hope that as a school, we will be able to raise lots of money to help this fantastic project.
On Thursday, Years 2-6 came together to celebrate the Young Speaker Challenge 2017. Alana from Green Class spoke confidently about Homelessness and what we can do to help.
Chloe from Emerald Class spoke passionately about the demon sugar! and the adverse effect it can have on our health and well being.
All children who took part were chosen by their class and gave great speeches!
We are proud to announce the winner of the Young Speaker Challenge 2017 was our very own Chloe! A huge congratulations to Chloe for all her hard work, she is a shining example of what can be achieved when you take a risk!
