This week we wrote letters to our mums and dads about our key text The Jolly Postman. We put stamps on the envelopes and addresses so that the postman would know where to deliver them. This afternoon, we went on a journey to the post box past the church on Highgate Hill. We made sure that we did sensible and safe walking with our partners. On the way, we saw lots of different features of our local environment. “That’s the bus stop. You wait there if you need to catch the bus,” commented Marlow. “I can see the church!” exclaimed Oliver. “The telephone box is red,” said Sia. In front of the fruit and vegetable shop, we found a red post box. We each posted our letters in the postbox and we know that the postman will deliver the letters to you soon! We then walked through Waterlow Park on the way back to school. Well done Reception classes on such a fabulous trip!
We can’t wait to receive letters from our mums and dads, please write back to us!
