We welcomed not only the Summer warmth at the beginning of this week, but also the arrival of our caterpillars! We have began observing how quickly the caterpillars are growing and are documenting their development by creating a caterpillar diary. We also started our new topic, Europe 2021, where we are using the Euros to learn about a different country each week. This week we started with our home, England! We created the flag with playdough, a lion (the national animal of England), crowns like what the royal family wear and even designed a new football uniform for the English team. Learning to write and recognise our name was another fun part of the week. We used letter pegs to identify the letters of our name! We also thoroughly enjoyed water play outside. What a jam packed and exciting week in nursery!
