It has been another very exciting week in Year 2 with lots of interactive learning taking place.
In Maths, we have been learning about number patterns and sequences. We began our learning by exploring number patterns by using counters, dienes and numicon. We have counted in twos, fives and tens from 0. We then applied this knowledge to help us read the scales on measuring jugs and thermometers.
In Science we have continued to develop our knowledge about materials. This week we tested different materials to see which would be the most suitable for an umbrella.
We tested:
- Fabric
- Plastic
- Kitchen roll
- Tissue paper
- Cardboard
We found that the plastic was the most suitable as it did not let any water through!
To celebrate National Fitness Day, we completed some exciting ‘Train Like a Jedi’ exercises. If you would like to do some more training at home you can find the video here: https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/activities/train-like-a-jedi
Thank you for coming to support your children during stay and learn this morning. We look forward to seeing even more of you next week!
Have a lovely weekend!
