This week the children came into the classroom to find that a huge beanstalk had magically grown over the long weekend! We spent some time exploring and talking about where it could have come from some of the children think their may be a giant hiding at the top! We then enjoyed reading our focus story Jaspers Beanstalk. This story has helped us to learn our days of the week. We enjoyed practising our cutting skills with the scissors to cut out leaves and used the hole punches and string to make our own beanstalks which really helped our fine motor skills. The children also played lots of counting games linked to beans. We used a spinner and counted out the matching number of beans.
