Today EYFS were visited by Louise Bufano, a Senior Early Years Consultant from Islington. The purpose of the visit was to assess whether St Joseph’s Early Years should remain on the Islington Register of Good Practice for ‘Effective approaches in using technology to promote talking’.
Louise was “delighted” with what she saw in Reception and Nursery. Our children are able to use the technology resources appropriately, effectively and responsibly. They are confident users of technology and the resources available promote talk in the setting.
Our children have access to a Google Nest Mini, iPads, BeeBots, metal detectors, Code-a-Pillars and more. These resources complement and extend their independent learning.
St Joseph’s will remain on the Register of Good Practice and will provide support to other schools who want to learn more about how we use technology in our EYFS setting.
