Another funfilled week in Reception. It has been great to see the children all enjoying their learning environments and their new friends.
This week we started phonics and have learnt the sounds and letters ‘s’ ‘a’ ‘t’ ‘p’. We’re sure the children would be happy to teach you all the words they know with these sounds and how the letters are formed with our magic pens. We have been filling the classroom with our newly learnt letters and lots more mark making.
We have also been busy with Sofia planting lots of bulbs in the garden and in our outdoor learning area. We put our gardening gloves on, picked up our trowels and got busy finding the perfect digging spot for our beautiful tulips.
Thank you to all the parents who attended the welcome meeting, as we said it is great to know we have such super support. We hope you found it helpful.
As we have all the nursery children in and all the children are settles we will be starting star of the week and mark maker of the week next Friday. Lots more exciting things to look forward to.
