Last Friday, Year 5 spent an action-packed day participating in a carousel of captivating activities, which all related to their Mission to Mars project work. The children were delighted to be joined by camera crew from Discovery Education and ITN, as well as staff from Lockheed Martin, who were all equally impressed with their knowledge and designs of Mars Base Camp habitation modules.
We discovered that not only do we have some budding astronauts and engineers in Year 5, but also some future TV presenters too – Miss Loughney included!

We only have two weeks left until the deadline for the Mission to Mars projects. We have been amazed by the standard of work so far and can’t wait to see the final designs.
