This week was Children’s Mental Health week. The theme this year was ‘Express Yourself’. Each day Year One completed activities to do with expressing themselves.
Children thought and shared different activities that they like to do when they want to express themselves. From building with lego, art, playing in the park to playing musical instrumants. Take a look at some of the different ways the children thought of:

On Wednesday the children enjoyed a no screens day. Year 1 chose from lots of different activities that involved giving their minds a healthy rest away from screens. Some children got creative and made things out of recycled materials or made dens to read their books in. Others went on a senses walk in their local area where they used their five senses to appreciate nature.
