This week in Nursery we welcomed some feathered friends. The children all enjoyed observing and talking about the chicks and we had some very amusing ideas for names. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of having chicks was being able to witness the wonder of the chicks hatching. Other areas of conversation included how to care for them: some children even read for them and wrote messages to stick to their enclosure. Next week we will be celebrating our love of chickens by learning the song ‘I’m a little chick’ with actions of course.
In other news we introduced our nursery rhyme of the week ‘Baa baa black sheep’, shared ideas on where we can see and feel gods love and how god loves us no matter what.
Next week we have an extended ‘stay and play’ session until 9.30am for our ‘number day’.
