This week in Reception we started our new topic ‘Minibeasts,’ after the arrival of our caterpillars last week. The children have enjoyed coming into class each day and taking a look at how the caterpillars have changed. As they have now turned into chrysalis we have moved them into their new home and cannot wait for them to turn into butterflies. In our writing this week we have been writing about our caterpillar observations. The children wrote about what they looked like at first and what they now look like after forming their chrysalis, using lots of adjectives. In Maths the children have been consolidating their number knowledge with lots of activities to support this.
We have begun rehearsing for our end of year assembly on Friday 13th July. Please continue to help your child learn their lines. Thank you for all your help!
