Year 4 took part in a special Black History Month workshop with Kwame from African Activities. During the session children were introduced to African patterns and the meaning behind them.
The children then had the opportunity to create their own patterns using various stamps. The shapes the children printed all had a particular meaning and they all thought very carefully about their chosen design.
Blue Class were extremely lucky and had a personal music session with Kwame once they had finished their printing. The children took part in traditional call and response songs and thoroughly enjoyed their day.
A huge thank you to Kwame for such a wonderful day!
