Another week done-and-dusted in Year 6! There was plenty of work completed, paired with a very successful sports day!
We began the week by carrying on with place value in Maths, we explored negative numbers as well as rounding numbers up to 10,000,000. We have now moved on to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Sports day was a great success, a huge congratulations St George’s members on their win!
In Science, we have moved on to learning how diet can effect the human body, we started this section of the topic by investigating food labels (thanks to those that helped by bringing in food items and drinks!).
In PE, we continued with tag-rugby! Both classes are beginning to get a grasp on the rules and play is starting to become more fluid.
We finished the week with a very special Topic lesson that was team-taught by our wonderful Athina from Violet Class. Athina taught both classes about Greece and introduced us to the Greek alphabet. The pupils then had the opportunity to write their names in Greek!
