We have had a fun, exciting filled week in Nursery. Earlier this week we found a frog in White Class, the children were super excited to see the frog and quickly said we should take the frog back to the pond. So we put the frog in a bowl and together went up to the pond.
We have also been looking at people, places and animals from around the world. The children made their own African outfits, they have spoken about what they would like to be when they grow up after we read the story Amazing Grace. We have painted animals from around the world and we have made our own necklaces.
In Religion we role played giving our class class baby a Baptism as part of our ‘Welcome’ topic. The children learnt about how a baby is welcomed into God’s family and that we are Baptised by the priest and he puts special water onto the child’s head.
We also went on our very first trip in Nursery. The children had a lovely time looking at the different houses, St Joseph’s Church, Lauderdale House and walking through Waterlow Park where we looked at the different trees and bushes. We even collected some leaves to look at when we got back to school. Thank you to all the parents that came to help us.
