The Year 1 children had an extremely busy week. For local history week the children were learning about Waterlow Park and its history. The children learned about Sir Sydney Waterlow, the man who donated the park to the public as, ‘A garden for the gardenless’. The children also had a wonderful day on Thursday dressing up as historical figures for World Book Day. Some children dressed up as explorers such as Ernest Shackleton and Amelia Earhart who we have been learning about this year.
