We’ve had a fantastic week packed full of exciting activities and competitive sports!
On Tuesday the children spent the day at the St Joseph’s vintage fair. The playground was transformed into a summer wonderland full of exciting activities and treats. There was a clown, bouncy castle, photo booth, ice cream stand and sports area. The sun shone and the music blared and everyone had a brilliant time! The most popular event of the day was undoubtedly the soak a teacher contest. The children loved it! Poor Mr Hannigan… But what a great sport he was!
On Wednesday the children spent the morning taking part in a range of sports activities including long jump, penalty taking and basketball shooting. They also took part in a number of races including the hurdles race, obstacles race and wheelbarrow race! Safe to say there were a few sore knees in the aftermath of the latter.
Today (Friday) the children are once again ready to let their hair down and dance the afternoon away as it is our official end of Year 5 party! We look forward to a fantastic afternoon and if the children return home this afternoon on a sugar rush then we can only apologise…
Have a great weekend and we look forward to the final few days of Year 5 next week. Onwards!
