This week in Year 5 the children have been putting themselves into the shoes of Afghan refugees. Through the use of a hot seating activity the children all had a chance to answer questions as an Afghan refugee and consider the thoughts and feelings of those people who have been forced to flee the country and the Taliban. The children used relative clauses and descriptive phrases to describe the sights and sounds of a refugee camp and considered how they would feel if they were forced to abandon their homes and move to a new country.
In Maths this week the children have been looking at rounding and ordering numbers and had a chance to complete some investigatory activities, exploring different methods through the use of partner interaction.
