This week in Nursery we have been very busy learning all about emotions. We first read the story ‘The Colour Monster’ by Anna Llena, looking at how colours can represent different emotions. The children then discussed the different emotions they might have in different situations. They had a great time creating their own colour monster pictures using tissue paper talking about why they chose the colours they did.
The children also made their own colour monster stick puppets using scissors to cut out the colour they wanted, once their monster was cut out they then chose a lollipop stick and taped the monster to the stick.
We also looked at ourselves in a mirror and how are faces change with different emotions, the children created their own faces using playdough.
