We began this week by learning about Remembrance Day and talking about why we remember people with poppies.
This week was also the start of our new Religion topic ‘Advent to Christmas’ and as we will soon be celebrating the birth of the baby Jesus we shared our own experiences of taking care of babies and discussed the different things that babies need to thrive and be happy. We washed babies and dressed and swaddled them and then chose items that they may need, which we then packed for them.
In addition we continued our focus on ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ by retelling the story using props and a story map and we also created some amazing art around the subject of bears.
A big thank you to all of the parents and carers who are able to come and support our ‘stay and play’ and ‘stay and read’ mornings.
