This week in Year 5, we’ve had an action-packed schedule filled with creativity, discovery, and lots of energy!
In English, the students continued their narrative writing based on Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles. They’ve been diving deep into the mysterious world of Sherlock Holmes, crafting their own thrilling tales with suspense, clever deductions and unexpected twists. It’s been fantastic to see their imaginations run wild as they embrace the challenge of writing their own stories.
In Science, the focus has been on life cycles. A highlight of the week was when the children shared their baby photos with the class. It was heart-warming to see their faces light up as they looked back at themselves as babies and compared their own growth with the life cycles they’ve been learning about.
PE this week was all about fitness, and the students tackled circuit training with great enthusiasm. They worked through various stations, improving their strength, endurance, and agility.
