On Tuesday Fr George came to visit Year 1. He spoke to us about the Sermon on the Mount. He told us that a sermon is someone telling us how to behave or live. For example, our teachers in school might tell us how to sit nicely on the carpet and our parents could tell us how to tidy our room- this is a sermon.
We learned that Jesus gave people a message that he has a big heart and big hands, big enough to show love for everyone and we should try to love each other too.
Later that day we re-enacted the Sermon on the Mount ourselves!
