This week in Year One as part of our Superhero topic we have been looking at cityscapes. We compared and analysed different buildings and discussed what shapes they were made from. The children enjoyed looking at some paintings of night time cityscapes from Vincent Van Gough such as ‘Starry Night’, ‘Starry Night Over the Rhone’, ‘Café Terrace at Night’.
Orange and Amber class came up with ideas of how they could create their very own night-time cityscape, in the style of Van Gogh but with a super hero twist!
