Reception has had a fantastically busy week! We started with a trip to the wonderful Little Angel Theatre in Islington to watch their production of ‘I Want My Hat Back’ which the children enjoyed so much.
We took the bus to the theatre and back. Reception are becoming public transport pros – so much so that they are confident enough to nap without missing their stop!
Some children described the production as “amazing” and “so much fun!”
On Tuesday we then had our Sports Day! The children had a great time cheering each other on as they took part in our sports day events. We listened as Mr Grant introduced each event and demonstrated what we had to do. The children took part in a range of events and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Well done to all of the children for taking part. They were all very proud to receive a special sports day sticker. Well done also to the parents who took part in our parent races at the end – unfortunately there are no spare stickers!
A big thank you to Mr Grant and Mr Forbes for setting up all the events with the help of Mrs Judge and Mrs Fulton.
We then had a surprise visit from three builders who are working on the BAM site behind school. They came to deliver a range of construction supplies to our own construction area. The children were so excited to meet Matthew, Liam and James who explained what the equipment is for and answered the children’s questions.
We ended our fantastically busy week with our Summer Fair – it has been so wonderful to welcome parents back into the school for our fair after a couple of years of disruption from Covid-19.
Thank you to every single person who has helped or supported EYFS this week – you are all incredible!
