In our Religion topic this half term, we are looking at People of Prayer. Our first few lessons have been looking at The Feast of the Epiphany and what we can learn from the prayers said at this mass.
The children in Year 4 looked at the importance of the star in the Epiphany story and how it led the Kings to Jesus. We recognised that, like the star, we too should lead people towards Jesus by setting a good example and sharing the gifts that we have been given such as love, kindness, patience and wisdom.
Each child created their own Star for Jesus using a variety of materials. Some chose to create stained glass windows and paint their stars, whereas others opted for oil pastels and tissue paper.
Some imaginative children even used their bodies to create a human star!
