This show about the world’s most famous flying nanny is supercalifr… We won’t go there!! The blockbuster revival of the 2004 Mary Poppins musical was a highly polished piece of entertainment, hugely uplifting and cheerful. The dance routines and stage illusions were truly terrific and left all our jaws on the floor as we watched in amazement.
In the story, the mystery woman sweeps two children off into random but spectacular adventures. She is vain and unpredictable but ultimately reconnects the children with their distant banker dad.
This feel-good extravaganza defies both logic and pessimism. It really was an incredible performance. Children and staff alike are still singing the songs – we really do recommend it!
