This week the Nursery classes had a terrible shock to discover that their classrooms had been trampled by a muddy creature with big feet. This led to much speculation and investigation when children took on the role of police officers and private investigators armed with clipboards and magnifying glasses. We had some great conversations and children collected ‘evidence’ and drew their own artists impressions which were either then displayed or posted on to the police station for further investigation. Was it a bear? Perhaps a tiger or even an alien? All of this has led nicely into our exploration of our new text ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ by Michael Rosen. We will of course keep you posted on details of the investigation as they come to light.
