This week we celebrated black history week. We started the week on a high wearing our super colourful clothes! Some children even wore traditional clothes from their countries with beautiful patterns all over. We talked about how our world has changed and the sad history for some people. We all agreed the world is a better place when everything is fair and when there is love and equality.
Reception looked at African art, music and instruments. We decided to make our own tambourines to use for our African tribal dancing afternoon. Shake shake shake your tambourine Red and Ruby class!
Ruby class were fortunate enough to have a mummy come in to tell us all about her home country; Jamaica. It was an amazing morning. We learnt lots about the island, famous people, music and especially about fruit from Jamaica. Thank you again Ms Taylor.
