This week in Nursery we have had lots of fun. We began the week by looking at Our Mental Health talking about who we can talk to when we feel upset, happy, angry or any other emotion. The children came to school on Monday dressed in the colours that made them happy and we listened to the story All Are Welcome read by Mrs Rooney in our library session.
We also continued exploring the book Owl Babies and this week the children made their own owl masks. They used sponges to create their own Owl Babies adding eyes, a beak and the branch they all sit on in the story. The children enjoyed making their own playdough owl babies using buttons for eyes and adding feathers and other materials as well. We have also been looking at sizes big, medium and small in maths.
We ended the week with our first Stay and Play since Covid 19 began and it was lovely to see so many parents come and join us in Nursery to see their children’s classroom and outdoor area. The children had a great time playing with their Mum’s and Dad’s.
