This week Year 5 have had a particularly busy week, jam-packed with exciting activities!
Both classes spent a whole day taking part in fabulous (and rather messy) art activities. The children practised painting using a range of utensils (from paintbrushes to sponges) and experimented with mixing colours. In the afternoon the children produced their own space art work and the outcome was fantastic! Peter Thorpe who? There are new space art experts in town and their names are Tanzanite and Indigo classes!
Jamie and Aretha – Tanzanite class
Tosca and Felix – Indigo class
The children also had a particularly enjoyable (and yummy) science lesson. They used Oreo cookies to represent the eight different phases of the moon. We luckily managed to snap some pictures of the moon cookies whilst the children were working because they had all mysteriously disappeared by the time the end of the lesson came around. We honestly have no idea where they went…
