What a wonderful first week back! It has been a fantastic way to start the New Year for Year 2. We began our new English book, The Bog Baby, and the excitement in the classroom was electric! The children used their imagination to create wonderful pictures of what they thought the Bog Baby looked like, incorporating some excellent descriptive words.
In Science this week, we embarked on our new unit called Young Gardeners. The children explored different types of seeds like real little scientists! They carefully classified the seeds based on shapes and sizes and shared their observations with the class.
Lastly, we celebrated The Epiphany this week. The children behaved beautifully during mass, showcasing their respect and understanding of the occasion. This special celebration was a great way to begin our new term together. We are proud of how well Year 2 has started, and we can’t wait to see what more adventures lie ahead!
