Dr Paul Lasok

Anthony Davey
Foundation Governor
Anthony was appointed a Foundation Governor for a second time in March 2016 by St Joseph’s Passionist Order. He lives in the parish of St Joseph’s of which he has been a member since 1975 and is married with two grown up children. Anthony is a chartered accountant by profession.

Father George
Foundation Governor
Fr. George is been Parish Priest at St. Joseph’s and in that capacity he is Trustee to the school. He was appointed a Foundation Ex-Officio Governor in December 2019 by St Joseph’s Passionist Order. Fr. George is a regular visitor as chaplain to the School. He delivers weekly class sessions in addition to holding class Masses and Liturgy of the Word services for parents and children, as well as termly and feast day masses in St Joseph’s Church.

Frances Doherty

Frances was appointed as a Foundation Governor for the second time in January 2016 by St Joseph’s Passionist Order. She lives in the Parish of St Joseph’s and is married with three children all of whom attend St. Joseph’s School. Frances is a qualified solicitor and a partner with a City law firm.

Luiz De Almeida
Foundation Governor
Luiz was appointed a Foundation Governor again in September 2015 by St Joseph’s Passionist Order and also serves as Vice Chair of the Governing Body. He has two sons who are past pupils of the School. He is a musician by profession and teaches music in a number of schools in Islington. He teaches ukulele to children as an enrichment club at the School, delivers Year 6 Music lessons and helps with the School Orchestra.

Angela Slocumbe

Jean Cowell
Co-opted Governor
Jean was elected as Co-opted Governor in December 2020. Jean has previously been a Staff Governor and has worked at St Joseph’s for 16 years. She runs the Breakfast club as well as supporting classes as Teaching Assistant. She lives locally with her grown up son and is Grandmother to twin special needs grandsons.

Clare McFlynn
Executive Headteacher Governor Clare is an extremely experienced school leader and was appointed Executive Head Teacher of St. Joseph’s School & St Aloysius School in April 2016. Clare was previously Head Teacher at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School for five years. During this time & currently she also supports other schools in London. In 2009 Clare was appointed a National Leader in Education and has previously worked as an Ofsted Inspector.

Parent Governor Frank was appointed Parent Governor in October 2015 by the parents of St Joseph’s School. He lives in the Parish of St Joseph’s and has two daughters in the School. Frank is a journalist by profession and works for The Associated Press, reporting on world events from war zones, the World Cup, and Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
